Conversations That Illuminate | Episode 5 | David Francis Collins
There is a moment early in this conversation that stops everything.
David Collins is describing his first ET contact. He was three years old, playing in the garden of his family's home in Southern Rhodesia. He doesn't remember boarding the ship. He remembers coming off it. And, he remembers, with a clarity that has never dimmed in seven decades, not wanting to leave.
Even now, telling the story, his voice catches.
That emotion, raw, unguarded, utterly real, is an important moment in this powerful conversation. Because David Collins is not what the word "ET contactee" might conjure. He is a former ICU nurse, a clinical instructor, a wildlife photographer, a builder of wooden sailing ships. He is a man who gets up every morning to feed his cats and pray to the Divine Feminine as the sun rises. He is grounded, gentle, and possessed of a quiet certainty that has nothing to prove.
He simply knows. And he has known since he was three years old.
The Vision That Never Left
A year or two after that first contact, a second communication came. Five-year-old David was lying on the cool concrete floor of his family's kitchen in the summer heat when his vision went dark. A black square appeared. Inside it, small dots of light emerged, a dozen or so, growing to orb size, connected by threads of light stretching between them like a luminous spider's web.
It was, he understands now, a teaching. A visual transmission of the Law of One: the radical, simple truth that we are all interconnected. That nothing can sever that connection. That the web of light holds, regardless of what happens on the surface of things.
His Catholic family feared he was seeing demons. His friends suggested he needed a hospital. He spent much of his childhood carrying these experiences alone, different in ways he couldn't articulate, thinking about peace in a world obsessed with conflict.
This too is a thread that runs through so many Lightworker stories, the sensitive child who sees more than the world around them can accommodate, who learns to carry it quietly, who spends decades finding their way toward the work they were always meant to do.
The Ambassador
Today, David serves as what he describes with characteristic matter-of-factness as an ambassador for the Galactic Council, a collective of civilizations that have agreed, across vast differences, on one foundational principle: that cooperation and peace are the way forward, and that war and hostility are simply not.
He speaks of the Pleiadians, the Arcturians, and the Sassani with the same ease another person might describe colleagues in a different time zone. He explains why Earth is currently quarantined: the Council having learned, from earlier interventions that went sideways, that arriving without a careful educational plan causes more harm than good. He describes the thought transferences he receives: not words, but impressions, entire packages of meaning delivered instantaneously, accompanied by a gentle pressure at the top and back of his head.
And through all of it, what the ETs most want humanity to understand comes back to that childhood vision: the Law of One. Your interconnectedness with the divine. Your interconnectedness with each other. The Law of Free Will alongside it, whereby every choice is yours, every choice shapes your spiritual growth, every choice either raises or lowers the vibration of the whole.
They are not here to do the work for us, David is clear about that. They are here to show us better ways. They are here, as he puts it simply, to help us save the planet.
A Safe Space to Be Heard,
One of the most moving parts of this conversation is not the cosmic scale of David's experiences. It is the tenderness with which he holds them.
He hosts a monthly ET Conversation Hangout, Galactic Consciousness, right within the GLU spiritual community platform ….not as a spectacle, but as a sanctuary. A place where people who have had experiences they've never been able to share can finally be heard without judgment. Because David knows exactly what it costs to carry something real in a world that calls it crazy.
"Listening," he says quietly, "is one of the most important things we can offer each other."
Each morning he steps outside as the sun rises, offers his prayer to the Divine Feminine, and listens. To the birds. To the silence. To whatever comes through from the civilizations that have accompanied him, quietly and faithfully, since he was three years old and playing in a garden in Zimbabwe.
We are not alone. We never were.
And in David Collins, the Galactic Council, it seems, chose their ambassador well.
